Water Slide Decal Instructions

Please Review the following video on how to apply water slide decals prior to using the decals on your freshly painted stalks. These decals are delicate, so once you have them perfectly in place, I would recommend NOT touching them because they can easily tear. Stalks can be handled normally after clear coating has cured.

Materials Needed

  • 3 Qtips
  • Scissors
  • Tweezers
  • Paper Towel
  • Small bowl of water

Applying the clear coat

After applying your decals, you can let them dry naturally or speed up the process using your prefered method. I used a standard blow dryer, then immediately applied my first coat of clear. Once the clear is applied to your stalks any outline of the decal should almost appear to be  invisible.

I would recommend applying several coats and waiting 24 hours before re-installing them.

For future maintenance I would refrain from using any solvents on the stalks and instead lightly wipe them with a lint free cloth or a small detailing brush that you can pick up in the cosmetic/make-up section of any dollar store. These brushes are perfect for dusting and cleaning around radio buttons, ac vents and ect.
